hifrom across the road

his eyes catch another.

a working man

an innocent boy.

Big bright eyes

staring into the soul

looking  for hope.

violated, the man feels

to look back

for from a million faces

they catch

the most vulnerable

facet, it seems.

It seems

his feelings

and the truth

lay barren

in the space.

It seems

his innocence

cannot fathom

There are things we kept secret

after life

for today he knows

only to smile

to dream

without inhibitions

to play in puddles

without worry

to smile

without masks.

The Hunt for Kohinoor is the second part of the trilogy series which starts off with The Taj Conspiracy. When given the opportunity to read and review this book by the kind folks at Westland Books, it was great to be chosen to read and review.

Let me start off by the book details first:

Title: The Hunt For Kohinoor
Author: Manreet Sodhi Someshwar
Publisher: Westland Ltd.
Number of pages:432
Genre: Fiction Thriller

SAMPLE: A spine-chilling ninety-six hour hunt through the world’s most dangerous terrain where history collides with gunfire – will Mehrunisa get out of this one alive?

One morning on her way to work, Mehrunisa gets a call that will change her life forever. The truth about her missing father is at her fingertips – but it will take her on the most desperate chase of her lifetime.

The Hunt for Kohinoor, all in all is a very good read indeed. The way Manpreet paves the way for readers to know the characters in the books, revealing the details and suspense in a slow and a steady manner does titillate your brain.Although the book starts off a bit slowly for my comfort, it does recover, and in a very good manner. The scenes in the book have been described vivid and one can easily imagine being there. The way plot thickens and how Mehrunisa acts her part in Pakistan along with the SSP Raghav from The Taj Conspiracy is nail-biting to say the least.Although through the end the book does become a bit predictive, maybe we can look over that fact and have a fulfilling read. A definite read this has to be in your list, a tick beside the name of this book should indeed be there in your “Already Read” book-list.

Although this is the second part of the trilogy, the book paves itself in such a way that one does not think he/she has missed out a lot by not reading the first book i.e. The Taj Conspiracy, however after finishing this one, I did enjoy a lot reading that one too.

In the end, I would like to give this book a 3 out of 5 for the sheer brilliance and the kind of characters it possesses. I could have enjoyed a lot more if the pace was a bit more fast.
